How your review card and review texts work, and the rules that keep your Google listing safe.

3 min read

A guide for your customers. They read it on your own domain at youragency.com/help/review-invitations-by-text, with your agency's name instead of "your agency".

Your review page asks customers how their visit was. Happy customers get a big button to your Google review page; anyone else can send you a private note, and can still review you on Google.

Ways to ask

  • Review card or stand at the counter: customers tap it with their phone.
  • Text invitations after a visit or booking, from your own texting number. your agency sets this up with you.

For text invitations

  • You need a texting account (Telnyx) with a US number, registered for business texting. your agency will help; registration takes a few days.
  • Only text customers who agreed to receive texts from you.
  • Each customer gets at most one invitation a month, only between 9am and 8pm, and can reply STOP.

Never offer a discount or gift for a review, and never write reviews yourself. Google can remove reviews or flag your listing for it.
