A review card is an NFC card, stand or sticker that opens the business's review page. The customer rates the visit; happy customers get a big button to the business's Google review page.
Why everyone is offered Google
Google doesn't allow review gating: steering only happy customers to Google and hiding it from unhappy ones. The US FTC rule on consumer reviews also bans suppressing negative reviews. So on our review page:
- 4 and 5 stars get a big Google button.
- 1 to 3 stars get a private note to the owner, and the Google link is still there.
- Nothing is hidden and no review is ever written for the customer.
Never offer discounts or gifts in exchange for a review, and never write reviews for a business. Both break Google's rules and the FTC rule.
Set it up
- In Bio profiles, create a profile with the Google review funnel template and add the business's Google review link.
- Make card codes for its cards or stands in the NFC cards tab, or press Make cards for it on the profile.
- In Manage → Reviews you see opens, ratings, Google clicks and private notes.
Pair the stand with text invitations after each visit (see Review invitations by text). The stand catches customers at the counter; the text catches everyone else.
