Why it's easier

No product to build. No leads to hunt.

Most side hustles stall before the first sale. This one starts with the products made and the customers found.

Most side hustles: build a product first

Nine products, ready to sell

Postcard ads, solo mailers, print designs, websites, booking, bio profiles, NFC and review cards come ready, with artwork, sales pages and checkout. You pick what to sell and set the price.

Most side hustles: hunt for customers

Customers found for you

The smart leads finder picks the best local businesses in every category near you, with phone numbers and ready-to-send emails. No cold lists, no guessing.

Most side hustles: chase every payment

Paid before you do the work

Customers pay online, straight into your own Stripe or PayPal, before a spot or order is theirs. We take no cut of what you sell.

No printing press, no stock and no coding. Run it in the evenings from your laptop or phone, and keep what you charge.

Our smart leads finder picks the best 5 businesses in each category around you, with their rating, phone and website. Pitch them with ready-made or AI-written emails.

  3. Step 3

Sell them one of 9 products

Postcard spots, solo mailers, design templates, websites, booking calendars, bio profiles, NFC and review cards, and your own services. Everything is ready to sell, and you set the price.

  4. Step 4

    Get paid, then sell again

Customers pay online straight into your own Stripe or PayPal, and we take no cut. The business that bought a postcard spot is your next website client.

What you can sell

Ten ways to earn. One customer list.

The businesses you sell a postcard spot to are the same ones who need door hangers in spring, a website that doesn't embarrass them, a booking calendar that fills itself and more Google reviews. Every product comes ready to sell. You set the prices.

A dozen local businesses split one oversized card mailed to every home on a route. You plan it, price each spot and sell them online.

Questions

What people ask before they start

Is this a good side hustle for beginners?

Yes. You don't need marketing experience, your own products or a list of customers. 9x12 CRM gives you nine ready-to-sell products, a branded website, a smart leads finder that picks local businesses to contact, ready-made outreach emails and free training. Most people run it in the evenings alongside a job.

Do I have to create my own products?

No. Shared postcard ads, solo mailers, door hanger, flyer and postcard designs with printing, hosted websites and booking software are ready to sell, with the artwork, sales pages and online checkout already built. You can add your own products or services too, and you set every price.

How do I find customers?

The smart leads finder looks at your area and picks the best 5 local businesses in each category, such as restaurants, dentists, HVAC, realtors and salons, with their rating, phone number and website. Selling websites or booking? It also finds businesses with no website, no online booking or few reviews, and tracks them from first email to won. You contact them with your own email templates or an AI-written first draft. Your free trial includes 50 leads and 20 AI-written emails.

How much can I make?

It depends on your prices and how many businesses you sell to. As an example, one shared postcard with 24 spots at $350 brings in $8,400 before printing and postage, and each product page has a calculator for your own numbers. There's no cap and we take no cut of your sales.

What do I need to start?

A laptop or phone and a few hours a week. Sign up free with no credit card, name your agency and your website is live on a free subdomain. Connect your own Stripe or PayPal to take payments.

What is 9x12 CRM?

9x12 CRM, also called 9x12 Agency CRM, is a ready-made local marketing business: software, products and leads for selling marketing to local businesses, from shared 9x12 and EDDM postcards to design templates and websites. For postcards it covers the whole mailing: mapping your routes, planning the card and prices, finding local businesses to pitch, a sales page with pay-first checkout, an ad workspace for each advertiser, your agency website, QR tracking, an offers directory, automatic emails and profit for every campaign.

How much does it cost?

Pro is $59/month (or $590/year — about 2 months free), including the Canva ad-design template library, full white-label custom domain, local business leads and AI-written outreach. Pro Plus is $89/month and gives every town its own domain, site and campaigns. Founding agencies keep the price they sign up at for as long as they stay subscribed. There are no platform fees on the payments you collect from advertisers. Start with a 14-day free trial — no credit card required.

Will it help me find advertisers?

Yes. Pick your area and the smart leads finder shows local businesses worth pitching — it picks the best 5 in each business category — with outreach emails you can write yourself or draft with AI. Pro includes 300 local business leads and 200 AI-written emails a month.

Do advertisers pay me directly?

Yes. You connect your own Stripe or PayPal account and advertiser payments go straight to you. 9x12 CRM never holds your money and charges no transaction fees.

Do advertisers get their own dashboard?

Yes. Every booking comes with a private ad workspace link — no password. Advertisers send their ad details and offer, pick up to 2 design templates or upload finished artwork, approve proofs, message you by WhatsApp or notes, pay, and see QR scans and offer redemptions.

Can I earn more than the spots on the card?

Yes. Solo mailers let one business take a whole postcard at your price, quoted from your real print and postage costs, and your shop sells design work, extra printing or anything else from your own site with online payment. Both use the routes, artwork workspace and QR tracking you already have.

Can I run several towns under different domains?

Yes. Pro Plus includes 5 live custom domains, each opening its own landing page with only that town's campaigns — cookevillelocalads.com for Cookeville, clarksvillelocalads.com for Clarksville, and so on. Extra domains are $10/month each.

Does it work outside the US?

Yes. US agencies get USPS carrier routes on the map. Agencies in Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France and elsewhere mark their area on the map and enter the homes it reaches; everything else works the same.

Can I use my own domain and branding?

Yes — every agency can connect their own custom domain (e.g. youragency.com) with automatic SSL for a fully white-labeled site. A free branded subdomain is also included instantly, so you're live before your DNS even updates.

What is the offers directory?

A searchable public directory of advertiser offers on your agency website. Every approved ad is added automatically, so it grows with every campaign — people browse offers, scan and redeem them, and email-capture offers turn visits into leads for your advertisers.

Can advertisers subscribe to recurring campaigns?

Yes. You set multi-campaign discount tiers (e.g. 3 campaigns = 10% off) and advertisers commit to them. The discount applies automatically at checkout, they're told when your next campaign opens, and you can cancel or refund a booking anytime — Stripe refunds included for paid bookings.

Do you print and mail the postcards?

No. You send the finished card to any printer that handles EDDM postcards and drop the mail at the post office. Our free guide on 9x12agency.com walks through design, printing and USPS drop-off.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There's no contract. Cancel from Settings → Subscription and your account stays active until the end of the billing period.
